IOC MOOC Reflection

A successful leader can lead a group of people to achieve goals. The leader must have skills and experience that leads him to be a successful leader like Platini and Blatter. Those two have management skills and Organizational skills that help them to lead the FIFA. A leader must show his experience to other people in the same group and he will teach them how to be a successful leader. The leader cares about time management and team goals that lead him to become a good leader. In football the leader of the team needs to be a collaborator with colleagues and seek to solve their problems. I've seen many videos that explained the meaning of leadership and how to gain experience by lead a group of people. Effective leader help people understand how their contributions fit into the broader vision and inspire the team to achieve the greater good of the organization. Inspiration is not mandated, dictated or driven by authority. It is achieved by enlisting others, touching the hearts of employees while engaging their brains through the influence of leaders.

I enjoyed the video and I learnt that the leader is a difficult job because you must have enough experience and skills like solving problems and time management to achieve a lot of goal and then become successful leadership.  There are many difficult jobs in life and one of them is leadership. I hope i will be a successful leader in the future and lead the group to achieve our common goals and aspirations. Each team needs leader because they will take advice from him and take advantage from his experience over many years. If you show respect to your teams, thanking them for their hard work and complimenting them on their successes, they will be far more likely to respect you in return.
